Leaving Killarney and heading out towards Killorglin, you take a left at Kate Kearney's cottage. The 250 year old trip begins when you travel for 11km through the glaciated valley to Lord Brandon's cottage over looking Serpents lake, where legend has it that St. Patrick imprisoned the last snake in Ireland. Traveling by pony and trap allows you to experience the true beauty of this special part of Ireland.
