The Cliffs of Moher are home to over 7,000 puffins from the months of April to late July, during their breeding season. Puffins burrow into the cliffs sides and nest in the grassy hillsides of the Cliffs. They are most visible while fishing in the water in the months of May and June. For the rest of the time, the birds live on the sea.
